- Our Story

115+ Years of
making marks!

Ashok Agencies was founded in Salem, Tamil Nadu in 1910 as a paper trading house — at a time when paper itself was a precious resource. Over a century later, we've grown from a trading business into one of India's most trusted notebook manufacturers, exporting to countries across the globe.

"We don't just make notebooks. We make the space where ideas become permanent."

In 1992, we made the leap from trading to manufacturing — and never looked back. Today, our 50,000 sq ft facility runs state-of-the-art machinery operated by a highly skilled workforce, producing 750 tonnes of premium stationery every month across dozens of product lines.

We manufacture more than 500 varieties of products catering to corporates, institutions, small businesses and also to some of the biggest brands in the country. We operate our own line of products under four brands — Scriby, Ashok Notebooks, Ashok, and Silverline which caters to a wide range of students & office goers.

Our in-house design team creates bold, colourful covers that students actually want to carry. Our in-house offset printing and packaging unit ensures every product meets our exacting quality standards before it ever reaches your hands.
